Early edition of a very attractive map of the Balkans, shown during the occupation by the Ottoman Empire. Most of modern-day Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania are shown including the city of Belgrade. To emphasize the occupation of the region, the cartouche is decorated with weapons of war and pennants bearing the Turkish crescent.
