Formed in L.A. in 1996, Linkin Park transcended the nu-metal sound of the late '90s and built a lasting career that was still going strong when frontman Chester Bennington took his own life in 2017. The band that mixed hard rock and hip-hop attitude scored six No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, including their apparent swan song, 2017's One More Light.
